Tennyson Insurance Ethics

By purchasing a product you are implicitly supporting the ethics of the company that you are purchasing it from. In purchasing from us you will be supporting:

A company that is fair in its dealings with its customers, suppliers and partners.

Treating customers fairly is at the heart of how we operate. We always provide clear, fair advice and we never recommend products that our customers don’t need. The results of this ethical approach can be seen in the scores from of our most recent customer satisfaction survey where 98% of the 260 respondents said that they would recommend us. We extend the same care and attention to our dealings with our suppliers and commercial partners.

A company that contributes to its local community

We are currently supporting two local charities by providing funds and offering our professional expertise to help with their development. The first is Stonepillow, a large organisation that provides support to homeless and vulnerable adults www.stonepillow.org.uk and the second is the Gambia Upcountry, a recently established charity, which provides development support to the poorest region of the Gambia and also fosters links between this region and our local area www.gambiaupcountry.com

Our history of community involvement includes principal sponsorship of the local arts festival and a substantial donation to our local cancer unit.

A company that provides innovative support to the not-for-profit sector

In conversations with our customers and from reading numerous articles in the sector press we learned that keeping compliant with Human Resources and Health & Safety legislation can be difficult for small and mid-sized charities. We wondered whether we could do something to help and, with a lot of help from our friends at Beprofessional Ltd, we’re pleased to say that we can. Charity Builder www.charityBuilderUK is an interactive web-based service which helps organisations with HR and H&S compliance, it doesn’t just signpost advice but works interactively to actually produce compliant policies, contracts and other documentation. It is based on a commercial service that has over 100,000 subscribers and - thanks to investment from us and beprofessional - it is available free of charge to all charities and not-for-profit organisations

An underwriter that innovates worldwide on ethical topics

Our underwriting partner, Zurich Insurance, is a pioneer of the Microinsurance movement which is helping disadvantaged populations to gain access to the commercial insurance products which are key to their economic development. In the UK, £60m of funding and volunteer time has been given to local and national projects by the Zurich Community Trust since its foundation in 1973.

We hope that you will choose to work with us.
