All Risks Contents Cover is an extended form of the standard Contents Cover. The key difference to is that it covers items when you take them out of your office.
You have a projector and laptop which is regularly used for meetings and presentations. At a conference you put it down for a second and it disappears. An All Risks policy will ensure that you can replace it.
An organisation or group which has equipment that is used in different locations, for example laptops, cameras or portable audio equipment. Also any item which is stored in an outbuilding should be put on All Risks Contents Cover.
Damage to, or loss of, you insured possessions caused by theft, accidental damage, fire or flood.
All Risks policies do not cover huge catastrophes such as nuclear war or a major pollution incident. They also don’t cover consequential loss, for example, if a fundraiser lost an insured laptop they could claim for a new laptop but they couldn’t claim for more money by saying that the loss of the laptop had meant that they hadn’t been able to present to a potential donor and therefore had missed out on a donation. Some high value items have to be specifically itemised and some items are excluded as they require specialist cover such as cars or boats.
You should tell us the value of the goods that you want covered.
