Tennyson Insurance exists in order to provide insurance to charities and social enterprises. We were founded in 2007, born as part of a specific insurance initiative run by Zurich Insurance and the National Association for Voluntary and Community Action (NAVCA) and I am pleased that we retain both of these prestigious organisations as partners as we broaden our remit to address all UK based charities.
We are owned by Tennyson Limited, a business services company that was founded in 1998. We serve clients across the UK from our base in Chichester in West Sussex.
I hope that we will have the chance to work with you over the coming year and that we may win your insurance business by providing you with excellent service and by saving you money. We have designed our business in order to deliver these aims, key characteristics include:
- A close partnership with Zurich Insurance who are one of the world’s leading insurance companies. They have insured not for profit organisations for over 100 years and currently provide insurance to more than 16,000 charitable and voluntary organisations.
- A team of customer advisers who specialise in insurance for charities. All of the team have achieved, or are studying for, the prestigious Certificate in Insurance issued by the Chartered Institute of Insurance. Many members of the team have experience of working in charities either as volunteers or as trustees.
- An innovative IT system, designed specifically for charity insurance, which minimises administration, paperwork and wasted time.
